Institution Overview
Monash University was established in 1958 and is the second oldest university in the state of Victoria, Australia, making it the largest university in the country. It is named after Sir John Monash, an engineer, military leader, and public administrator.
Monash is a member of the Group of Eight, a coalition of Australia’s leading research-intensive universities.
The university has multiple campuses across Victoria and Australia, as well as international campuses in Malaysia, Italy, India, and China. Monash University’s library system currently operates several libraries across all its campuses, both in Victoria and internationally.
