Linnaeus University was established in 2010 in the cities of Växjö and Kalmar, Sweden. It is named after the renowned scientist Carl Linnaeus and was formed through the merger of Växjö University and Kalmar University College. The university values knowledge, creative thinking, practical application, and innovation, and operates as an international institution with two campuses.

Linnaeus University’s research is of high quality both nationally and internationally, and it covers a wide range of fields. The university is particularly known for its research centers that focus on diverse topics such as ecology, evolution, discrimination and integration, and biosciences. The Linnaeus University scholarship program is offered to students enrolled in a master’s program. Students are only eligible to apply for this scholarship before the start of the program.

Meanwhile, scholarships for current students are offered to those enrolled in a two- or three-year program at Linnaeus University. Students are only eligible to apply for this scholarship after they have started their program.
